A+ Education Partnership
Montgomery, AL
General operating support for this state-wide organization working to improve graduation rates, close achievement gaps and lift the performance of all Alabama students. $50,000 ($25,000 for 2 years)
ACE Mentor Program
Charlotte, NC
Program Support for the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (ACE) Mentor Program in Charlotte, an after-school, workforce development mentoring program whose mission is to attract and prepare students for industry careers. $20,000
($10,000 for 2 years)
Atlanta Education Fund
Atlanta, GA
Program support for Atlanta Education Fund's Financial Aid Saturdays, which provide high school seniors and recent graduates with technical assistance in completing the FAFSA. $20,000
 
Better Basics, Inc.
Birmingham, AL
Program support for in-school Reading Intervention programs. $15,000
 
Carolina College Advisory Corps
(UNC-Chapel Hill)
Chapel Hill, NC
Support for two Corps members at CMS high schools, who seek to increase the college-going rate; expand the range of schools to which students apply; and help principals, counselors, and teachers foster a college-going culture. $87,240
 
Charlotte Teachers Institute
Charlotte, NC
Program Support for Charlotte Teachers Institute (CTI), a partnership among the UNC Charlotte, Davidson College and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, offering high quality, intensive professional development to teachers. $50,000
($25,000 for 2 years)
Citizen Schools
Charlotte, NC
Program Support for Citizen Schools, which works to expand the learning day with rigorous academic skill building, relevant apprenticeship courses, and thoughtfully developed plans for graduating high school and attending college. $75,000
 
East Lake Foundation
Atlanta, GA
Program Support for CREW (Creating Responsible, Educated, Working) Teens, which provides academic tutoring and college readiness activities to 350 high school students.  $30,000
 

FastTrack National STEM Center
Atlanta, GA

Program Support to expand the successful Ten80 Student Racing Challenge: NASCAR STEM Initiative to students in APS. Based on pilot results, at least 85% of participants should stay in school, take upper level STEM classes and graduate.   $40,000
